Flight of the Corvids

Flight of the Corvids

This mural/installation began as a conversation about how to make our community more visually interesting.  Many talented artists call the Crowsnest Pass in southwestern Alberta home.  There was a general consensus among us that one public installation could result in others and so it began.  We were fortunate to gather those who are adept in project design and management, grant applications, as well as those who can spread paint around with a brush.

First Step:  Creation of the original paintings that would become the basis for the installation.

Then how to configuration the ravens? Do we put them here?  Or here?  There?

Installation of the ravens:  Ames Construction did a superlative job under Lynnette's watchful eye.

Opening Day
for "Flight of the Corvids" was on June 9, 2019 at our beloved local Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery.  The weather was beautiful, many attended and our hopes are high that this creative work will continue.
